The rate limit is a dial: 5 transactions per second without stake, rising with stake to 200.

Rate limits

Your request rate is set by how much $RELAY you have staked. There are no tiers and no plans to buy — the limit moves continuously with your stake.

  • Unstaked: 5 requests per second
  • Staked: rises with your active stake, up to 200 requests per second
  • Applied per API key, and the curve is convex — the first tokens you stake buy proportionally more throughput than the last

Staking also reduces the tip you owe on every transaction, down to tip-free. Both figures come from the same stake, and you can read your current ones at any time — see Your effective rate.
